CITY JOINS NIXLE COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
On April 1st the City of Saint Peter will launch a new community notification system
called Nixle. Nixle is a free system that allows individuals to sign up to
receive City notices ranging from emergency notifications to information of
community-wide interest. The types of notices that may be sent out by Nixle
would be snow emergencies, water main breaks, police activity, or cancellation
of a recreation activity.
Residents are encouraged to go to www.nixle.com and click on “RESIDENTS SIGN UP NOW!
”.
The system will allow residents to receive notices from the City via text
messaging, e-mail messages or both. It’s an easy and free way for the City to
stay connected with the community and for important information to be
distributed in just a matter of moments. For more information on the City and
