 Household Hazardous Waste Collection is Saturday, May 19th from 9 am-2 pm

Saint Peter Wastewater Treatment Plant – 400 West St. Julien Street (enter on Swift Street by Armory and exit onto St. Julien Street). 
The types of items accepted include:  Paints and stains, thinners and solvents, old gasoline, acids and bases, adhesives, aerosols, mercury thermometers and thermostats, household cleaners, lawn and garden chemicals, rechargeable batteries, fluorescent bulbs (from households only). 
Absolutely no business related waste, motor oil or filters, explosives, or ammunition will be accepted.

Thursday, May 31st, curbside APPLIANCE pick up - $15.00 each. Stop in the Finance Department at 227 S Front Street to register and pay by Tuesday, May 29th. You must register and pay in advance for this collection.  Appliances must be curbside by 8 AM on the collection date or you forfeit your fee.

Friday, June 1st, curbside FURNITURE pick up – Fee below. Stop in at the Finance Department at 227 S Front Street to register and pay by Tuesday, May 29th. You must register and pay in advance for this collection.  Items must be curbside by 8 AM on the collection date or you forfeit your fee.

Free bicycle recycling - All bicycles and bike parts will be accepted.  Bikes will be refurbished or recycled by an area
non-profit organization. 

 

Free Recycling at the Nicollet County Drop-Off Sites - Open 24/7 in Saint Peter at the County Highway Shop 1700 Sunrise Drive and compost site at 1128 West Swift Street, (intersection of St. Julien and Swift Streets).  Recyclables accepted:  Newspaper, Magazines, Glass Bottles/Jars, #1 & #2 Plastic, Aluminum and Steel Cans, Corrugated Cardboard.

Brush and Yard Waste Drop-off Site Open 24 Hours A Day, 7 Days A Week - The brush and soft yard waste drop-off site located at 1128 West Swift Street, (southwest intersection of St. Julien and Swift Streets) with access off West Swift Street are open year around for your convenience in dropping off brush and soft yard waste. Brush and tree trimmings must be cut shorter than 6 feet. Separate bunker now provided for dropping off fill (rocks, dirt, etc.).

Woodchips and Compost Available “FREE” To Citizens:  Free woodchips and sifted compost material, when available, will be at the site at 1128 West Swift Street for Saint Peter residents to pick up. While the material is free, please bring your own shovels, bags or containers to load and transport.

Minnesota Waste Processing Company will take the items listed below all year round.  Please call (507) 625-5746 for fees and information.  They are located at 1051 Summit Avenue in Mankato.  The following items are accepted: regular home trash, tires w/o rims, tires with rims, appliances, electronics, furniture, documents for destruction.
