Dog and Cat Licenses

All dogs and cats are required to be licensed once they are old enough to have the rabies vaccination. Licenses are due every two years. Dogs are due on odd years and cats even years. The licensing deadline is April 30 th of each year.

The public will be notified through their utility bills when dog & cat licenses are due. An updated rabies vaccination certificate must be provided at the time of purchase. Licenses may be purchased by mail or in person at 227 South Front Street.

Non-Spayed/Non-Neutered $25.00
($5.00 late fee for failure to renew license by April 30th)

Pro-Rated Fees - 1 year
Spayed/Neutered $ 2.50
Non-Spayed/Non-Neutered      $12.50

Replacement Tag

$ 1.00

Residents are encouraged to license their pets to help ensure their safe return to their home and the safety of the community.

A copy of the City Ordinance regarding pet licensing will be furnished upon request by calling (507) 934-0661.
